A winter in East Tyrol has many faces.
Whether you want to be active or simply relax – East Tyrol has it all. Eight renowned, award-winning skiing resorts with more than 350 kilometres of ski-runs, 400 kilometres of cross-country ski trails, authentic places and landscapes, warm hospitality and 241 three-thousand metre mountains await you in Austria’s sunniest region.
East Tyrol is a region in which you will feel at ease. Guided snow-shoe hikes, ski tours and wildlife watching will show you new perspectives on nature. Cosy mountain refuges and ski huts provide an inviting environment.
Skiing in Assling
In winter, if you stay 3 nights or longer, you will enjoy free admission to our local T-bar lift in Assling.
The skiing resorts Lienz/Hochstein/Zettersfeld, Sillian/Thurntaler, 3-Zinnen (South Tirol) und Großglockner Resort are only about a 15-20-minute drive away from Walter’s Inn.
You can store your skis in our ski room.
